Low-Carb Crunchy Lettuce Wraps

Another recipe that could be a perfect side dish or a main course. These low-carb wraps are elevated with a little kick of MisoHeat.
Low-Carb Crunchy Lettuce Wraps
1 lb ground turkey or chicken
1 head iceberg or butter lettuce
2 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 large onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp fresh grated ginger
1 can water chestnuts, diced
2-3 green onions, finely sliced
1/4 cup hoisin
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp rice vinegar
1Tbsp Sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
2 tsp MisoHeat
1. In a large pan over medium heat, heat oil and add the Turkey or chicken. Cook the meat until lightly browned.
2. Add onion to pan and stir frequently for 3 minutes
3. Add garlic, ginger, water chestnuts and most of the green onions to the pan (save some green onion for garnish).
4. Stir mixture for a minute over medium low heat until ginger and garlic are very aromatic. Be careful of your heat, you don't want any of this to burn.
5. Add all remaining ingredients including MisoHeat. Combine thoroughly and adjust seasoning as necessary with more soy, vinegar, and the sweeter hoisin/sweet soy.
6. Place in lettuce cups and garnish with remaining green onions
